Fernando is a Mexican investor. He holds an economics degree from Universidad Iberoamericana; he complemented his studies in finance and business valuation at ITAM. He is a CFA level three candidate.
He is Managing Partner of Acacia Capital and Managing Director of Sabino Capital, two Mexican investment firms.
Fernando is also CEO of the Instituto VIF, a non-profit organization that aims to promote investments in Mexico and social awareness in the business sector.
He also participates on the boards of diverse private portfolio companies.
Alejandro is a Mexican investor, philanthropist and activist. He holds a law degree from Universidad Anáhuac and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain; he complemented his studies in behavioral finance at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School of Management. He is a doctoral candidate in Strategy and Development from the Universidad Anáhuac.
He is President of Acacia Capital and Sabino Capital, two Mexican investment firms. He is also President of Opciona, a civil society organization whose goal is to build citizenship for a more prosperous and just Mexico.
Alejandro is Founder and President of the Instituto VIF, a non-profit organization that aims to promote investments in Mexico and social awareness in the business sector. Together with his wife, he created in 2009 the Legorreta Hernández Foundation, an organization that seeks to contribute to social development in Mexico.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Casa de Bolsa Acciones y Valores Banamex (Accival), a leading brokerage firm, and Afore Banamex, the second largest Mexican pension fund by asset size, as well as their respective investment committees. Likewise, he belongs to the board of trustees of the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología.
Abroad, he is a member of the Latin American Council of Georgetown University, the International Advisory Board of the Council of the Americas, the IE Business School Fund and the G50 Group. Founder of the Scolarship Legorreta Hernández for Master in public-policy periodism in the CIDE.
He is also the founder of the Legorreta Hernández Scholarship for the Master’s in Journalism on Public Policies at the Center for Research and Economic Teaching (CIDE).
He is a columnist in Reforma, Forbes and Diario de Yucatán. Also, he has been a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and at the Universidad Marista in Yucatán.
